Energy Development Corporation (EDC) is a wholly Australian owned company focused on the development of renewable energy facilities. We offer comprehensive, in-house development and project management services from green field sites to early stage development through to EPC management, and where required, ongoing platform management services.

Solar & BESS
EDC has extensive experience in the development of greenfield solar PV farms and BESS, supplying both Grid and BTM customers, ranging from 5.0MWdc to over 350MWdc.
EDC is currently in the advanced stage of development of a 40MW PV to 40MWx 4hr BESS to Grid project, and a 120MW PV to 60MW BESS project for a BTM client. Both projects are in Queensland, Australia.
Hybrid Projects
EDC's team has experience across PV-Wind to BESS projects and is currently in early stage development of a 200MW project in Queensland.
EDC has considerable experience in selection of potential wind farm sites and development processes across multiple States of Australia.
BESS Only Platforms
EDC has formed a JV (E8 Corporation) with G8 Energy and has completed a retail PPA for a platform of 10 x 5MW BESS sites in regional NSW.
Over the next three years EDC and E8C will deliver up to 4 multiple site x 5MW BESS only platforms for two major investor groups.
Behind the Meter
EDC specialises in BTM solutions from large utility scale projects (50MW+ x 24Hours) to micro-grids providing energy to industrial estates or large processing/manufacturing plants.
A 250MW project is in early stage of development on a North Queensland site.

December 2023
EDC secures a JV with a private investor to deliver a 80MW Solar Farm and 60MW BESS in South West Queensland, to provide both grid and BTM supply.
November 2023
EDC signs Joint Development Agreement with a Hong Kong based investment group to commence work on developing a greenfield, PV and BESS, behind the meter project in North Queensland. The completed project will deliver state of the art energy storage solutions and create over 70 full time jobs for the region.
November 2023
EDC have signed a JV with G8 Energy (Energy 8 Corporation) to deliver a pipeline of 5MW BESS sites in QLD and NSW backed by a PPA with a Tier 1 energy retailer. Public announcement early 2024. Initial stage 110MW.
October 2023
EDC have secured a NBIO and exclusivity for the sale of a 120MW Solar Farm and BESS project in Southern Queensland. FID due December 2023.
June 2023
EDC have been commissioned to coordinate the sale of a 120MW Solar Farm and BESS project in Southern Queensland. EDC appoints Pareto Securities of Singapore to facilitate the Investor outreach program.
May 2023
